PhotoModeler Scanner

The producer of PhotoModeler has made a new standard for photogrammetri by creating a new module called PhotoModeler Scanner.

PhotoModeler Scanner works in principle like a laser scanner. It produce a point cloud by scanning 2 or more photos. Small areas in the photos are compared and when PhotoModeler Scanner finds a match it place a point.
In this way it can scan a building, a human body, a hilly country.

At the end the point clouds can be converted to triangulated surfaces.

By using the texture from the photos you can get a very realistic 3D model.
